About Connection Collaborative

Who We Are

We live the values of connecting and collaborating. We found each other in very different ways but the connections - and the collaborations - are authentic. At our core, each of us in some way is a connector, collaborator, humanist, and storyteller at heart.

Meet Our Team

Annalisa Holcombe

founder

Annalisa brings a wealth of experience to her role as Founder and Principal Consultant at Connection Collaborative. From her early career as a family law attorney, she learned a lot about human nature, conflict, collaboration, the importance of creating legacies, and thinking with a generational lens. When she turned her efforts to higher education, she developed a reputation as a fixer and a builder; helping others find, remember, and practice the mission in the jobs they already had.

As a natural connector and storyteller, she fostered strong relationships with alumni, donors, trustees, students, and community leaders, and the reciprocity of those relationships informed her strategies and success. From roles in alumni and community relations to integrated learning and organizational strategy, Annalisa spent 15 years understanding the linkages between high-level mission and vision and the operational efforts necessary to implement big ideas.

Her fundraising leadership roles have served all types of organizations — from a small private liberal arts college to the nation’s largest online university and working with nonprofits serving vastly different missions. Over nearly three decades of experience, Annalisa has learned to lean into her strengths of authenticity, passion, integrity, and connection.

When she is not strategizing with clients who are changing the world or recording her podcast, you’ll find her with her family exploring her new home on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Washington.
